* Intimation of mortality: When you find yourself on the mailing list of the Neptune Society. Speaking of, in a previous iteration (Tampa Bay Business Journal), I did a piece on the Neptune Society’s cremation business. All that anybody seemed to remember–or certainly reference–about it around the office was my mentioning that the founder, Charles Demming, a chiropractor with a white goatee, was sometimes called “Colonel Cinders.” Yeah, it’s still funny.
