Unlearned Vietnam Lessons Update

The analogy is hardly precise, but when looking at the Middle East quagmire, I can’t help being reminded of all the lessons we never learned from Vietnam. Most recently: Disturbing reports that people at CentCom manipulated intelligence regarding the fight against ISIS. It’s how a conclusion of “containment” is reached at the highest levels.

Couldn’t help thinking about Pentagon metrics, including Gen. William Westmoreland’s misleading body counts.
