It also has everything to do with the consensus that the team has blatantly violated coronavirus protocols—including hanging out at hotel bars. The Marlins have become the societal counterpart of unmasked individuals who jeopardize others by their carelessness, cluelessness and defiance. Good luck, Derek (“They let their guard down”) Jeter.
